What does PTO mean ?
(Power Take Off):





Truck transmissions have one or more locations which allow for a PTO to be mounted. The PTO must be purchased separately and care is required to match the physical interface of the transmission with a compatible PTO. PTO suppliers will usually require details of the make, model and even serial number of the transmission. Care is also needed to ensure that the physical space around the transmission allows for installation of the PTO. The PTO is engaged/disengaged using the main transmission clutch and a remote control mechanism which operates on the PTO itself. Typically an air valve is used to engage the PTO, but a mechanical linkage, electric or hydraulic mechanism are also options.

What does Split Shaft PTO mean ?





The Split Shaft PTO ( power take off ) is mounted to the Truck drive shaft to give the power to the desired equipment. This is mechanical and pneumatic control type split shaft PTO. The transition is done by Synchromesh to guarantee this process separately by one or two applications. The Vehicle drive shaft should be at rest when the outputs are engaged or disengaged. The Split Shaft PTO engagement and disengagement are done by double effects pneumatic cylinder (6-8 Bar) and position determining protection system (Clutch Pedal).The hand brake should be pulled during that process. The control must be done only if the input shaft is really at rest. After the engagement of the system the right gear of the vehicle is put and the position determining protection system (Clutch Pedal) is left. When the vehicle is running and it is wanted to be used, the hand brake should be left too
The outputs engagement and disengagement are done by double effects pneumatic cylinder (6-8 Bar) and position determining protection system (Clutch Pedal). The control must be done only if the input and output shafts are really at rest. After the engagement of the system the position determining protection system (Clutch Pedal) is left free.



What does Hydostatic Split Shaft mean ?





This split shaft gets the power needed from main shaft to operate the equipments. In UARA 2500 split shaft, 75W90 full synthetic gearbox oil is used. Engage/Disengage is done via air bottle with pneumaticaly. It is needed to stop the shaft while pump and hydromotor engage/disengage the outputs. After engageing, ride control is done via pump and hydromotor. While we increase the rate of split shaft’s input as 1/1.3 (1/1.75) on the other hand we decrease the rate of differential gear’s output as 4.5/1.


What does 4x4 Transferbox - Split Shaft mean ?




This Split Shaft PTO is mounted directly to the truck main drive shaft, the below outputs forward and increase the torque to front and rear differentials. This installed to transfer the truck from 4x2 to 4x4 truck.
The porpus of the differential lock is to equalize the rotation moment to front and rear shaft at hard terms in order to forward without Wheels skidding.
However, it shouldn’t be used for long term.The pump output can be engaged and run independent while the truck is at stop and move position. The Split Shaft PTO can be controlled (engaged and disengaged) via electrical sensor.






What does Sandwich Split Shaft mean ?




Sandwich type split shaft unit which is mounted between engine and transmission and used on road maintenance vehicles, fire fighting vehicles and off-road vehicles. This split shaft unit gets the drive directly from the engine shaft. It transfers the drive with the same rotation as main rotation to the equipment. In SWCH.100 Split shaft unit it must be used 75W90 EP or equivalent oil. Engagement and Disengagement is made over a stick which is located on the side of the unit. While it is disengaged, only the shaft- which transfer the drive to the transmission- rotates, as the whole gear system is stopped. When it is engaged it means that the drive be transfed to the top pump output. While engageing and disengageing the output flange, the main shaft of the vehicle must be stopped. The ratio is 1/1.4. Engagement and Disengagement is made over a stick which is located on the side of the unit. It is controled after the main shaft is completely stopped and after engagement the clutch
