MECHANICALLY BRAKED HYDRAULIC WINCH:

The hydraulic pump, driven by the PTO, delivers oil to the hydraulic motor of the winch. The hydraulic motor transfers the oil it receives to the drum as mechanical movement, and the hydraulic winch starts working in this way. Kozmaksan KHW series winches operate on the hydraulic principle.

The braking mechanism in hydraulic winches can be mechanical or hydraulic.

The rope release mechanism can be mechanical or pneumatic.

This is a hydraulic winch with a mechanical braking mechanism. The products are packaged including 25 meters of rope and a hook. The products have a spring pressure device and a rope regulator. -----------

MECHANICAL BRAKING WORKING PRINCIPLE: Part number 10 in the image above is the braking mechanism. The actual image is as follows. The reverse spring mechanism continuously applies outward pressure and brakes the cylinder in the outer ring that is constantly rotating. Over time, brake pads, which turn black, wear down and become obsolete (estimated brake life varies between 2-10 years depending on frequency of use). Brake pads on a crane must be replaced when they are worn out. Brake pad replacement is an inexpensive and easy process.

ALL CRANES HAVE A MECHANICAL ROPE RELEASE DEVICE, BUT THIS DEVICE CAN BE PRODUCED PNEUMATIC UPON REQUEST. IN OTHER WORDS, IT IS OPTIONAL TO BE PNEUMATIC. IT OPERATES WITH 6-8 BAR OF AIR, SIMILAR TO KOZMAKSAN AIR-POWERED PTOs. GENERALLY, IN HEAVY TONNAGE CRANES, IN CRANES PROTECTED BY ENCLOSED SHEET METAL, i.e., IN SITUATIONS WHERE MANUAL INTERVENTION IS DIFFICULT, THIS PART IS REQUESTED TO BE PNEUMATIC.

KHW SERIES MAINTENANCE:

The product comes with the transmission assembly already greased. Therefore, it does not require any oil addition or maintenance. It only needs to be replaced when the braking system is worn out.
