SPLIT SHAFT POWER TAKE OFF

SPLIT SHAFT PTO is used in cases where Transmission PTO's are not capable of providing the required power for the superstructure. The split shaft PTO it is located on the truck chassis between the main transmission and differential. These gearboxes are mainly used for Fire Fighting Trucks, Cleaning Combination Trucks, Sweeping Trucks and Road Maintenance Trucks. 

SOME DETAILS FOR SPLIT SHAFT POWER TAKE OFF
Depends on Truck Split Shaft PTO can be very various. Split Shaft Units can be vertical or horizontal if Split Shaft PTO is Vertical; it can be 3 axis such as UARA.2002 , 4 axis such as UARA.2006  or 5 axis such as UARA.2005.  When length of the gearbox is increased lubrication system need to be built on the gearbox also. If the installation is not done properly, heating problem can be seen. Even installation is done greatly, in some application superstructure works over and over hours and this is cause of heating. For solution cooling system should be installed on the gearbox.
Although it is optional Split Shaft Units can be controlled by sensors. With Engage & Disengage sensor operator can easily observe if superstructure is on or off and can observe the revolution value with rpm counter sensor. Before selecting Split Shaft PTO, Truck CVW should be checked. Trucks GVW can be from 3 tons to over 30 tons. According to radial force, every truck needs different solutions. When we categorize trucks we see 4 types. Extra Heavy Duty Trucks, Heavy Duty Trucks, Medium Duty Trucks, Light Duty Trucks. Every truck need different solutions and different Split Shat Units

PUMP&ROLL FEATURE: Pump&Roll Feature which means you can make run your superstructure while you drive your truck. It is very intended feature especially for Fire Fighting Truck and Water Truck manufacturer. During drive, main gear should not be changed. HOT SHIFT FEATURE: Especially for Vacuum Cleaning Truck, Sewer Cleaning Combination Truck, Water Jetting Truck “Hot Shift Feature” is very desirable feature. HYDROSTATIC DRIVE: Typical Pump&Roll Featured Kozmaksan Split Shaft Units are transferring power differential and the equipment during drive. That means power is divided. The aim of Hydrostatic Drive technology is to transfer movement to the differential even by split shaft unit in full operation with the superstructure. On the other hand, Htdrostatic Drive provides low speed while superstructures needed to be run with high-speed values. Especially  Sweeping Trucks, Salt Spreaders, multi-purpose trucks for road maintenance, Airport Fire-Fighting Trucks can be good application for this system.
