6x6 Transfer Case for Heavy Duty Trucks - KTC.6001

Kozmaksan's 6x6 transfer case is a heavy-duty, 4-shaft unit (model KTC.6001) engineered for extreme-duty heavy trucks and special-purpose vehicles: firefighting vehicles, 8x8 ARFF trucks, sewer cleaning trucks, and military vehicles. Built to withstand the harshest terrains and weather conditions, this transfer case delivers a maximum output torque of 60,000 Nm, with a nominal output torque of 23,000 Nm and a maximum input torque of 32,000 Nm at input speeds of 2,300-3,300 rpm.

This 6x6 transfer case features two internal gear ratios — high (1/0.89) and low (1/0.577) — plus an idle gear function that allows the driveline to be disengaged for towing without mechanical disassembly. An optional differential lock can be added to the fourth axis; when engaged, it puts the vehicle into full 6x6 drive, giving fleets the flexibility to run in a more efficient mode on paved roads and switch to full traction when terrain demands it. Shifting is controlled pneumatically at 6.5-8 bar air pressure, and the unit includes a continuously rotating equipment output shaft, enabling mounted equipment to run while the vehicle is in motion — essential for pump-and-roll firefighting, continuous suction operation on sewer cleaning trucks, and other continuous-duty applications.

Engineering-grade materials underpin its durability: gears are surface-hardened to 58-61 HRC with a 1-1.2mm hardening depth for wear resistance, the body is cast from GJS-400-15 spheroidal graphite iron for corrosion, wear, and fatigue resistance, and sealing components meet ISO 6194 with double-lip elastomeric seals rated for -40°C to +140°C operation. Inlet/outlet connections use a DIN 180 flange type, with universal equipment connections compliant with ISO 7647, ISO 7646, and ISO 8667.

Cooling and lubrication systems are not standard equipment and can be added based on operating conditions and environment — the third axis includes an internal 3cc double-directional oil pump that self-lubricates by drawing power from the rotating shaft. This transfer case weighs 335 kg with dimensions of 424 x 626 x 915 mm, uses a 16-liter oil capacity (vertical installation only), and is recommended for use with 75W90 or 80W90 gearbox oil.
