Getting the full service life out of a vacuum blower depends on correct installation and a consistent maintenance routine. This guide covers the essentials — from initial setup to a full troubleshooting reference — based on Kozmaksan's official Blower User Manual.
Installation Basics
The blower is transported as a single piece and should only be carried using its designated lifting lugs, never dragged along the ground while moving it into position. The installation spot must be clean, level, and structurally solid, with enough clearance around the unit. After placing the blower, it must be checked with a bubble level to confirm it is fully horizontal — this is critical for smooth operation. Once the air output pipes are fitted, the horizontal position should be checked a second time.
Starting the Machine
Before starting, check whether there is a valve or similar device on or at the end of the pneumatic transmission line. The machine starts by switching on the blower compressor's electrical control panel. After starting, listen for any abnormal noise — all checks should be completed before full start-up.
Routine Maintenance Essentials
- Oil inspection: Check blower pump oil monthly and top up as necessary (Shell Omala C220 or equivalent).
- Oil gaskets: Inspect regularly for deformation and replace immediately if leakage occurs.
- Belts: Inspect at regular intervals; replace any belt that is worn, deformed, or broken.
- Safety relief valve: The internal spring can deform over time — check periodically and replace if necessary.
- Air filter: Clean weekly and replace every 3 months.
- Belt tension: Adjust by tightening the tension bolts evenly on both sides — running the machine before achieving proper belt tension reduces efficiency.
